Where we are

Monachil, the gateway municipality to the Sierra Nevada National and Natural Park via the Monachil River Valley, formed by three urban centers: Pradollano (where the Sierra Nevada ski resort is located), the Barrio de Monachil and Monachil Pueblo (Old Town), where the Hotel is located.

How to come

Entering Granada via the ring road (A-44), take exit 132 towards Ronda Sur (A-395) heading to Sierra Nevada/Alhambra. Once on the Ronda Sur, take exit number 2 towards Monachil.

Follow signs towards “Casco antiguo Monachil Pueblo” (Monachil Village Old Town).

After taking exit No. 2, in approximately 2.0 km, you will enter the Barrio de Monachil. Continue straight through this urban area for about 2.0 km without taking any detours.

Once you pass through the Barrio de Monachil, it is a distance of 1.5 km to Monachil Pueblo. From this final stretch of the road, you can see the village in the background, where you will distinguish a green light point, which is the “H” logo of our Hotel.

You will pass right in front of the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento), then turn left, cross the ancient Monachil bridge, and you will find the Hotel immediately on your right.

Between mountains and city

From our doorstep, distances work in your favor:

  • A short walk away: The start of the spectacular Los Cahorros route, which you can reach by taking a peaceful walk following the Monachil riverbed.
  • Just 6km – 15 minutes away: The majesty of the Alhambra and the historic center of Granada, ideal for an afternoon cultural visit.
  • Just 30 minutes away: The ski resort in Pradollano and access to the high peaks, such as the Veleta and the Mulhacén, via one of the most spectacular mountain roads on the peninsula.

Whether you come looking for the adrenaline of climbing, gliding through the snow, or a cultural immersion, this is your starting point.
